Bertha Marie Herboldsman Parks passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 in Moss Point at the age of 94.
Bertha was born on April 14, 1924 in Phillips Co., ARK. She would meet her soul mate, Charles Parks in 1942. After the war she and Charles along with their daughter, Charlotte moved back to Pascagoula where they would remain until the end. She was a loyal dedicated wife and mother. She was the first PTA president of Eastlawn Elementary and help found the idea of PTA crossing guards. She was longtime, faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church until her health would no longer allow her to attend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dutch and Herboldsman and Bernice Herboldsman Inebnit; step-father and the man who raised her after her fathers death; husband of 65 years Charles Parks, her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Jerry Martineau. Brothers; Homer and Edmund Inebnit. She is survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday November 20, 2018 at 11 am at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Jackson County Memorial Park Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
