Darwin Linden Thomas,88, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Biloxi, MS.
Darwin was born on July 3, 1930 in Idaho Falls, ID to the late Linden and Effel Thomas. He was a graduate of Blackfoot High School. Darwin served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He met his true love, Doris Smith, and on November 1, 1949 they became one, together they raised three boys , Danny , Dennis, And Dustin. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in 1993 after 43 years of service. He was a member of Bluff Creek Hunting Club, American Legion, and V.F.W. serving as Commander for 2 years, and longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church serving as deacon many years and recently became a member of Arlington Baptist Church when the two churches merged. This gentle giant of a man will be missed by his family, friends and community.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Doris Thomas of Pascagoula, MS; three sons, Danny L Thomas of Pascagoula, MS, Dennis Thomas and his wife Lori of Hurley, MS, and Dustin Thomas and his wife Kathy of Pascagoula, MS; two brothers Keith Thomas and his wife Roxie of Helena MT and Delbert Thomas and his wife Jan of Port Orchard, WA; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday December 10, 2018 from 6-8 pm at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Tuesday in the Funeral Home chapel at 12:30 with Interment with military honor at Biloxi National Cemetery at 2:30. Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Hinkel, Charles Fry, Joe Odom, John Jones, Fred Ros, and Bill Pope.
