Frank Corcoran “Corky” Larsen, 61, of Pascagoula, Mississippi passed away, surrounded by his family, on Monday, September 30, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline Bosarge Larsen and Ernest Harold Larsen, Sr., his brother in-law, Jim Fuss, his nephew, Chuck Grubbs and his great nephew, Dutch Binion.
He is survived by his eight sisters and brothers, Beverly Larsen Fuss, Ellen Larsen Pusey (AJ), Ernie Larsen (Cae), Polly Larsen Grubbs, Betty Larsen Talley (Charles), Gaye Larsen Easter (Frank), Kenny Larsen (Carolyn) and Ricci Larsen (Dee). Corky is also survived by 25 nieces and nephews as well as 53 great nieces and nephews.
Corky was a lifelong resident of Pascagoula. He attended the Jackson County Daycare Center and was a graduate of the Jackson County Exceptional School. Corky was also a client of Singing River Industries.
He was one of the original employees of Arby’s of Pascagoula for 20 years and remained until the closing of the restaurant in 2013. Corky was also employed by New York Pizza at the Market Street location until his official retirement in June of 2019.
Corky was a medal winner in the Special Olympics, a high scorer of The Pin Pal Bowling team, and a member of the DREAM Team of the Gulf Coast. He attended the Abbie Rogers Civitan Summer Camp in his early years as well as the Fall Camp as an adult.
Most importantly, he was a Catholic. He was a member of the parish of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church. Many Saturdays, he brought the Book of Petitions to the altar during the evening Mass.
Visitation will be Friday evening, October 4, 2019, at O’Bryant - O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula, MS, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 11:00 am. Committal Service will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula. Pallbearers will be Corky’s nephews assisted by his great nephews.
