Lonnie Ladnier Obituary

Lonnie Leverne Ladnier, age 64, of Pascagoula passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019. He was born May 28, 1954 in Pascagoula and has been a life long resident. He was an Electrical Engineer at Ingalls Shipbuilding for 44 years and member of Unity Baptist Church in Pascagoula. He played in Bowling Leagues and Men’s Softball Leagues, coached and umpired youth leagues in football and baseball, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed living on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and all the fishing opportunities he was given.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leverne Jacob Ladnier; mother, Janis Ann Ladnier; brother, Chris Ladnier; grandparents, Axel and Dagmar Pedersen; Maston James and Alma Virginia Ladnier.

Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Susan G. Ladnier; son, Raymond Jacob Ladnier; daughter and son-in-law, Heather Weaver (Derek); two grandsons, Miller and Maddox Weaver; three nieces, Darby Ladnier, Melissa Mata (Arthur), Elishia Vandiver; three nephews, Dalton Ladnier, Brian Sprankle, and C.J. Mata; two great nieces, Medina and Melina Mata; brother-in-law, Luther Sprankle; sister-in-law, April Bass; numerous other relatives and great friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, 12:00-2:00pm, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.  Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, MS.

Pallbearers will be Jorge Jaimes, Brian Davis, Rick Conley, John Bosarge, Andy Niles, and Tom Poiroux. Honorary pallbearers will be Stuart Brown, Robbie Aiken, Bobby Frederic and Mitch Lennep.
