Mary Belle Miller Harvey, age 90, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 in Horn Lake, MS. She was born May 17, 1929 in Morgan City, MS. She was a former secretary for Fletcher Construction for 25 years. Afterwards, Mary Belle was an assistant teacher for Vancleave Schools and at the age of 65, she received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from MGCCC. Education has always been her passion in life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Earl F. Miller, and her second husband, Henry Lewis Harvey; son, George Richard “Ricky” Miller; brother, James Corbett Scott; brother LH Scott; sister, Lucille Scott Douglas.
Mary Belle is survived by eight children, Kenneth Alan Miller (Linda), Hattiesburg, MS; Michael Earl Miller, Southaven, MS; Steven Jay Miller, Jackson, MS; Mark Weldon Harvey (Lisa), Ocean Springs, MS; Jeffrey Wayne Harvey, Denver, CO; Shannon Scott Harvey (Priscilla), McKinney, TX; Paul Ladell Harvey (Randa), Madison, AL; Patricia Linette House (Richard), Southaven, MS; two sisters, Louise Roberts, Pascagoula, MS; Jeanne Carroll (Bobby), Greenwood, MS; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, 6:00-8:00pm at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, 10:00am, in the funeral home chapel with her son, Paul Harvey officiating. Burial to follow at Vancleave Cemetery #2.
