Gregory Alan Cox passed away, Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his home in Pascagoula, MS.
Greg was born May 10, 1950 to Ray and Dorothy Cox and was a lifelong resident of Pascagoula, MS: he married the love of his life, Ann Smith, on June 17, 1972, raised two sons, Brandon and Brian, and retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after 51 years of service. Greg enjoyed fishing in his early years. Later in life, his favorite spot was sitting in the carport of his home, visiting with old friends, cold beer in hand. When Greg wasn’t home, you could find him playing at Boomtown Casino sharing laughs with everyone around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Ann Cox, of Pascagoula, MS; two sons, Brandon Cox (Monica) of Coppell, TX and Brian Cox (Kathryn) of Denver, CO.; three grandchildren, Molly, Evan, and Ryan Cox of Coppell, TX,; and three siblings, Michael Cox, Brad Cox, and Susan Bloxom, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Greg’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
