Harold Benard Richmond

“A Time to Be Born”
Harold Bernard Richmond was born August 14, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York to the proud
parents of Harold & Mable Richmond.
 

“A Time to Live”
Harold was a former resident of Moss Point, Mississippi and later moved to Pascagoula,
Mississippi.
He was a graduate of Moss Point High School and later attended Bishop State and received his
Barber License.
Harold was better known in the community and by his family and friends a “Rock”, “YoRock”,
“Bernie” or “Bernard”.
Harold was a very friendly and outgoing person who never met a stranger. He enjoyed family
gathering and spending time in the barber shop alongside his dad cutting hair. He was
especially fond of cooking and grilling. He was a loving father and enjoyed attending special
school events and outside curricular with his children.
Harold was self-employed at Heads Up Barber Shop with his father until his health began to fail.
 

“A Time to Die”
Harold transitioned from this world to eternal life on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Singing
River Hospital, Pascagoula, Mississippi.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Freeman and Velma Richmond; maternal
grandparents, Edgar and Lillie Wadell and niece Jada Christina Richmond.
 

“A Time to Mourn”
To mourn and cherish all of his fond and precious memories are his parents: Harold and Mable
Richmond; six children: Raquel (Trenton) Johnson; Raqueem, Marquis, Nija, Nyguel and Nyasia;
four Siblings: Anita, Linda, Freeman and Gustavas; special friend, Danielle Mitchell; three
nieces, Shericka, Jamilia and Jasira; four nephews, Rachiem, DeVaughn, Jarvis and Christian;
four grandchildren, Caleb James, Trenton Jr., Tilia and Ari and a host of family and friends.
