Helen J. Jarvis

Helen Janosik Jarvis, age 91, of Pascagoula passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Singing River Hospital.  She was born June 20, 1928 in Prince George Co., Virginia and has been a resident of Pascagoula since 1967.  Helen retired from McDonald’s after 19 years as a former Manager in Pascagoula.  She was a devoted Catholic and active member before her health declined at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pascagoula. She was an Auxiliary member of Legion of Mary and member of Mississippi Poetry Society.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Edgar Jarvis; daughter, Patricia Ann Green; and a brother, George James Janosik, Hopewell, VA.

Helen is survived by her three daughters; Mary Helen (Tommy )Richardson  of Pascagoula, MS; Cecelia Diane Jarvis of New Bern, NC; Katherine Louise (Paul) Hoover; Magee MS; brother, Robert C. Janosi of Hopewell, Virginia; 5 grandchildren, Jonathan (Abby) Browne; Thomas (DeAnne) Cooper;  Rebecca Lundy, Megan (Fletcher) Haaga and  Erin (Chris)Marcet; 8 great-grandchildren and  1 great-great-grandchild. 

Because of the limited number allowed to attend services, the family will be having a Private Graveside Service on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs.  Friends and other family members may view her Christian Burial Service on the funeral home’s Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church's Building Fund.
