J. Wendell Lee Sr

James Wendell Lee Sr passed away Tuesday June 16, 2020 at the age of  78.

Wendell was born on April 30, 1942 in Wanilla, MS to the late Ford and Inez Lee. He was an adventurous entrepreneur and was involved in several businesses in our community.  He was a family man through and through, kind, big-hearted, and willing to give the shirt off his back, which he actually did on more than one occasion. He enjoyed traveling and storytelling both of which brought a smile to all those lucky enough to travel with him or hear a story. He was a honorary member of the Elks Lodge #1120 . He was a true friend and felt blessed to have so many in his life he considered to be his friend.  He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by  three siblings, Vicky Ronnie and Dawn. He is survived by his wife of 59  years , Linda Lee of Gautier, MS; two children, James Wendell Lee Jr. and wife Jeana of Gautier, MS and Rhonda Faucette and her husband Robert of Wade, MS ; siblings, Ralph Lee (Patty) of St Louis, MO, Gary Lee of Florida, Debra Benefield (Randy ) and Brenda Swett all of Pascagoula, MS; grandchildren, James W. Lee III, JeAnna Lee , Joseph Charles Lee, Justin Lee Faucette, Whitney McCarra  (Colt) , Amanda Faucette, Alex Faucette, J. C. Lee , Ethan Lee; great grandchildren, Jae Martin, Blakleigh Jones , and Tinley McCarra and numerous other family and friends.
