Jaye Turner Obituary

Jaye Turner, age 67, of Moss Point passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Singing River Hospital.  She was born May 26, 1956 in Pascagoula and has been a life long resident of Jackson County. Jaye graduated from Our Lady of Victories High School in 1974.  She attended William Carey University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from South Alabama University.

Jaye was a nurse for Singing River Hospital for over 40 years and retired in 2018.  She enjoyed her grandchildren and spending time with her family the most.  She was an avid fan of Sea Wolves Hockey team, visiting casinos, and reading.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Harlston Broun, Sr. and Elizabeth Pearl Brady; infant sister, Mary Elizabeth Broun and infant brother, Timothy Broun.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Frank Turner, Moss Point; daughter, Ashton Platt (Jeffrey), D’Iberville, MS; brother, Clarence “Butch” Broun, Jr., (Donna) Pascagoula; two grandchildren that lovingly called her “Ja”, Auston and Avery Platt; numerous other relative and friends.
